The World’s Best and Worst Countries for Girls Ranked

Every seven seconds, one girl under the age of 15 gets married across the world. According to Save the Children, child marriage is correlated with teen pregnancy, maternal deaths, and high levels of girls dropping out of school.

Every Last Girl, a report put together by Save the Children, measures nations against five indicators: early marriage, adolescent pregnancy, maternal mortality, women in parliament and secondary school completion and have used this to come up with rankings for the top ten best and top ten worst countries for girls to live in, with Sweden coming in at the top and Niger coming in at the bottom.
