Netherlands: Communication Styles

You may have heard that the Dutch tend to give off the impression of being rude or crude, but the more accurate way to describe their communication style is direct and informal with a strong sense of humor. It’s easy to see how this can be misconstrued by cultures that are used to a more formal communication style.

So the next time you’re in the Netherlands, don’t be so quick to be offended and keep in mind that their intention is to not offend.
